Then, the representatives are available to go with families to prospective communities, so they can visit chosen communities first-hand with experienced individuals and ask the questions that are important to them. Representatives meet with families in person to understand their needs and unique requirements. Guiding Hands helps families find assisted living communities for seniors needing care in the Central Texas area. Also, Leading the Way Seminars provides expertise in many essential areas for businesses, such as marketing, brochure development, Internet research, and website recommendations.ĭeanna is also a managing partner for Guiding Hands, a service to assist families to find the best fit for loved ones in placement into communities. In addition to providing 1 on 1 mentoring, education for front-line teams, and retrofitting and designing existing memory care communities, her team specializes in providing in-depth evaluations followed up with comprehensive reports to improve day-to-day operations in memory care specific service industries.

Through LWS, she offers Continuing Education Units for social workers, licensed nursing home administrators, assisted living administrators, and other professionals pending approval with their licensing board. Intent on making her dreams a reality and determined to share her knowledge with as many people as possible, Deanna launched her business, Leading the Way Seminars (LWS). In a labor of love honoring her grandmother’s memory, she applied the knowledge she gained into authoring Alzheimer’s Days Gone By: For Those Caring For Their Loved Ones.ĭeanna has provided education about Alzheimer’s through the Greater Chapter of Austin Alzheimer’s Association and the 17 counties it serves. In her 15 years working in geriatric healthcare, she has educated herself on all aspects of dementia with an emphasis on Alzheimer’s.
